Originally from Albany, NY, I have a BA in psychology from the University of Rochester and a Masters in Social Work from Boston University. I was director of a family and children's program at Judge Baker Children’s Center, the first Child Guidance Clinic in the U.S. Then I served as the first Director of Casey Family Services where I initiated a state wide foster care program for children and adolescents in Massachusetts.

Since moving to Florida in 1996 I have been the manager of the Child Protection team at Tampa General Hospital, as well as working for several other agencies including Directions for Mental Health and the Pinellas County School System. I have also consulted at the Menorah Manor Nursing Home.

I presently have a private psychotherapy practice, where I see individuals, couples and children. My logo is “Life takes Balance".

In addition as a certified Laughter Leader I run laughter workshops in both business and human services agencies. In-service trainings can help to lift the moral of a stressed staff.
